Post Secondary Scholarships
Aarstad Family Scholarship-
This scholarship has been established and funded by the Aarstad Family. The scholarship is in the amount of $2,000 and is awarded to a student who is a graduate of B-EHS; Is attending one of these 5 Universities - Washington State; Western Washington; Central Washington; or California State University - Chico. Students must also be entering their Junior or Senior Year of College and must be following majors of study of any of the following: Education, Parks and Recreation Admin, Sports Management, Sports Medicine, Ag Management, Vet Medicine. Must have college GPA of 3.0 or better. Must be enrolled full time.
BEAF/Stowes Shoes and Clothing (Renewable)-
This scholarship is for students who have completed at least one year of post-secondary education. This is a renewable scholarship, therefore as long as the recipient remains in school full time, is making progress towards their degree, has financial need, and maintains a minimum GPA of 2.75 this scholarship will be awarded to them for a maximum of 3 years. The initial award is $1500, second year is $2,000, and the third year is $2500 for a total payout of $6,000. Recipients will be asked to provide a transcript each year to confirm eligibility and to keep the Foundation informed of their progress towards their degree. This recipient MUST be attending a college/university in the State of Washington.
BEAF/Rotary (Renewable)-
This scholarship is a renewable scholarship that has been created and supported via a grant from Scholarship America to assist students with their educational expenses. Applicants must be a graduate of BEHS or Burlington North. Must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary fully accredited institution; must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0; must have completed or expect to successfully complete one full year of postsecondary education (Running start students qualify as meeting this requirement); exhibit community leadership and volunteerism, and overcoming barriers to school success. The initial award is $1500, second year is $2000, and the third year is $2500 for a total payout of $6000.
BEAF/Fradkin (Renewable)-
This renewable scholarship has been created to support students who are included in an underserved population with high financial need and are the first in their family to attend college. The recipient will have completed at least one year of college; have a high financial need, as exhibited by FAFSA SAI; will have a 2.75 College GPA; will be the first generation in their family to attend college. The initial award is $1500, second year is $1500, and the third year is $1500 for a total payout of $4500.

This includes: your current year in school, employment, financial information, a current transcript, a current reference (from employer or college instructor).
2. Respond to the two essays in the Custom Questions.

RECIPIENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY AUGUST 30, 2026
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS WILL BE REMITTED TO COLLEGES DURING THE SECOND TERM OF THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR.
