Welcome to the Burlington-Edison Alumni Foundation/Dollars for Scholars Website!

Burlington-Edison Alumni Foundation/Dollars for Scholars is an affiliate of Scholarship America, and our primary mission is to enhance the educational opportunities for students of the Burlington-Edison School District and to create a positive link with Burlington-Edison School District alumni.

The B-EAF was initially incorporated in 1992 under the name Burlington-Edison School District Foundation.  The initial founding trustees were Paul Taylor, Colonel Betz, Geneva Sasnett, Duane Stowe, and Cheryl Bishop. In 2002, the name of the Foundation was amended to Burlington-Edison Education and Alumni Foundation, and then in 2017 it was once again amended to our current name of Burlington-Edison Alumni Foundation that we refer to as B-EAF.  In March 2000, the Foundation affiliated with Scholarship America and became a Dollars for Scholars Chapter.

Burlington-Edison Alumni Foundation/Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides local graduating seniors and returning college students with financial and academic assistance to help them pursue their college dreams.

Since 2000, the B-EAF has awarded over $1.158 million in scholarships to local students! 765 Students have been awarded scholarships. Average award is $1,000 however a number of scholarships are $2500 or more including numerous multi-year scholarships that are $2000, $5,000, $6,000 or even $40,000.

This has all been made possible by the generosity of many community individuals and other organizations who have provided the funding for these scholarships.
